Dual VET (Dual Vocational Education and Training) is a competency based training system. The major part of training within this dual system is performed in companies that are responsible for this practical part. The in-company vocational training concentrates on teaching specialized practical skills and on providing the necessary occupational experience. The vocational school focuses on providing specialized theoretical knowledge for the relevant occupation.

The Company will gain highly competent employees meeting the needs of the company (versus hiring externally), will improve productivity as well as quality of services and products, will save recruitment and retraining costs, will realise high return on investment in the long run. 

The Trainee will gain occupational proficiency, will learn in real and state-of-the-art work environment (machinery, work processes), will learn how to identify with company and occupation, will become capable and certified to access different occupational and educational opportunities.
